Virtual Makeover

Submitted by: Example

Techniques:

  • Hair: Could be warmed or highlighted if she wants to go to the effort; should be onto the face at the forehead because her forehead is somewhat broad
  • Foundation: Warm and darker--to even out the lighter and darker facial skin
  • Brows: Match natural brow color but strengthen--because hair is so dark
  • Liner: Dark brown--keep to the outside--because eyes are somewhat close set
  • Shadow: Darker, duller version of eye color to enhance her eye color through repetition
  • Highlighter: Omitted because her eyes are naturally very well contoured
  • Mascara: Brown/black--because her coloring is warm and her contrast is high
  • Cheek: Medium light value of warm red--to complement green eyes
  • Lip: Medium dark value of warm red--because she has high contrast and because she needs to harmonize her lips to her cheeks.
  • Jewelry Metals: Gold or copper (depending upon appropriateness: gold for business, copper for casual situations)
  • Accessories: Shoes, belts, bags, etc. If needed for traditional business attire, black (although not extreme as--for example--patent leather) and navy (not black nor hard) may be worn quite successfully if they are worn in warm color combinations. The warm colors should be next to the face. Warm, light neutral (Cream, Buff, or Ivory, etc.) blouses should be substituted for white. White blouses do not work for her in any event. Scarves (if appropriate) in warm combinations which include black (or Navy) will also integrate black (and navy) into her wardrobe. For example, a print in warm green and gold with an accent of black or navy.
