Virtual Makeover

Submitted by: Heather

Techniques:

  • Hair: We chose an update on the basic smooth bob, somewhat "piecey".
  • Foundation: Fair with enough natural and enough red to smooth out skin tone.
  • Brows: Fake them closer together and use a brow powder. Enhance the entire brow with a quick brush-through.
  • Shadow: Light gray for the crease, and a light hue such as periwinkle for the lid, both applied lightly and blended well.
  • Highlighter: Buff, blended well.
  • Liner: Charcoal, upper and lower, side to side.
  • Mascara: Dark charcoal, two applications: First application over all of your lashes, second application, just the tips.
  • Cheek: Watermelon, lightest application, well blended.
  • Lip: Watermelon.
  • Finish off with a light dusting of translucent powder to set.
  • Since you're a college student, your uniform for the next four years will probably be tops and jeans. Crew necklines on sweaters are easy to find, but they are not your best choice. Try to find deeper cuts. For example, "U" shapes. Deeper necklines do make shoulders appear more narrow. Consider shoulder pads if you are at all broad in the hip. You'll look great in faded denim jeans.
